With polling day upon us, now would seem as good a time as any to say a resounding thank you to all who have helped us in the Farmers for Britain campaign.

So many people have put endless time, money and effort into this campaign. Our members have driven the length and breadth of the British Isles each week to debate and help inform. They have written blog posts late at night after a long day lambing and found the time in their busy working days to host press visits to their farms. In each of these people the enthusiasm, conviction and dedication to their industry and what they believe in has been absolutely incredible, as has the support we have received online.

On the whole we have had a very promising reaction and the latest polls from Farmers Weekly showing 58% in favour of Brexit are a testament to the incredible effort put in to this campaign by all involved.

We have done all that we can at this stage and can only hope that we will wake up tomorrow to find a blank canvas on which our farmers and industry leaders can write the foundations of a new UK agricultural policy.

Win or lose, there are lots of good ideas to be carried forward and thank you all for your hard work over the past few months.
